“Keeping Hope Alive”
Compete a tandem charity skydive for the Children’s Air Ambulance and help fundraise for this much needed service.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is changing the face of paediatric care through the high speed transfer of critically ill children. Right now, this free of charge service works alongside NHS transport teams to help fly paediatric patients to specialist treatment. It is the first and only dedicated paediatric helicopter emergency transfer service in the country.
The bespoke, specialist equipment on-board the helicopter provides a flying intensive care unit for children and when a child is too sick to fly, the Children’s Air Ambulance can fly a specialist team to them. With flight times commonly around four times quicker than a transfer by road, in many cases, the time saved means a life saved.
We receive no government funding and rely entirely on voluntary donations, your support will help to keep hope alive for these young patients and their families. Find out more at https://www.childrensairambulance.org.uk/
The minimum age for tandem skydiving is 16 and the maximum weight is 15 stone (95.25kg) fully clothed, your weight must be in proportion to your height. There is no height limit. I have also attached information relating to certain medical conditions which may affect your ability to participate, you will also need to read through Skydive centre’s terms and conditions which can be found here https://www.skydivegb.com/terms-and-conditions/ so please do have a look through these before you decide to register.
To join our team there is a registration fee of £50 to secure your place and then all we ask is that you try and raise £500 or more, we will be with you every step of the way through your fundraising journey with lots of helpful tips and advice to help you achieve this.
